Careers post EM?

Hey everyone,

Just had a few questions on careers EM docs go into once they leave EM:

1. What are some other types of clinical/non clinical careers that EM docs go into during their later stages of their career (when they want to chill a little more)

2. Does where you do residency matter for job selection and do you need a fellowship to move into another career (esp for those 4 year residencies at bigger name places).

3. Is going for an EMBA later in life and attempting to go into the executive leadership positions in a hospital a feasible career path?

My dads an ER doc and one of the pros he was telling me for EM was that you can always leave EM if you want (as opposed to surgery where you’re slaved to surgery the rest of your life)
