Laryngospasm
I had a Laryngospasm yesterday.. I’m at almost a month to post-Botox and prior to this had experienced a couple of choking feelings after drinking or eating something, but it typically only lasted a couple seconds.
This time I took a drink of a sparkling water and a burp/air must’ve been coming up at the same time—and I started gasping for air.
I knew from reading about it that I was having a Laryngospasm and grabbed a straw and started breathing in and out through it (or trying to at least). It didn’t really help. I did start to have second thoughts and thought maybe I was actually choking and considered calling 911. However, after about 60-90 seconds it subsided, though I was thoroughly shaken up.
I’ve now read some of the tips on how to calm a Laryngospasm if it happens again.
My question to everyone is: did anyone else experience a one off Laryngospasm while recovering from Botox? Did it happen again? TIA
