AITAH - My husband lied to me about a recipe

Dear reddit, I want you to weigh in on one of the stupidest arguments in my household. My husband and I have not been able to come to a consensus on this for three days, so we seek an outside neutral opinion here in the court of reddit.

My husband, Rohan (31M) and I (30F) are happily married for the last 3 years and also have a cute kid. We started dating around 5 years ago and there were instances due to which I hate Rohan's ex (she shall not be named) passionately. Before I met him, he dated her for 5 years. They broke up and we started dating after 3 months. Around that time, His ex was trying to get back together with him, but he wanted to move on. He did not tell her that we were dating. One weekend, when we were at his apartment, his ex came in unannounced and saw Rohan with me. She started yelling at me that her job was done now (implying I was a prostitute) and called me really derogatory names. There was almost a physical altercation, but Rohan stepped in and kicked her out of the apartment and then blocked her on everything. She has apologized to both of us via our common friends many times, but we have made it a point to never interact with her again.

Rohan is from India (born there) and I am white, and we live in US. Rohan loves cooking and makes these 5-star Indian dishes. I cannot cook and am happy to clean up after him (which is a lot of work in itself). He has always told me that his mom is great at cooking and he asks her recipes on phone all the time. There are 5-6 things I love the most and we always have them in our regular rotation.

Last month, we went to visit his parents in India, and I made it a point to learn cooking from his mom. She taught me a lot of regional Indian dishes. Her food was amazing, and Rohan's cooking seemed like a knockoff in comparison. However, when she cooked this specific dish, which is a lentil soup with veggies, it was completely different than how Rohan makes it. I asked her about why and she said that the dish is not native to their place, and this is the version she knows how to make.

When we came back, I asked Rohan how his version of the dish was different, and he reluctantly told me that this was the recipe that his ex used to make. I was shocked as he had never mentioned that to me. His reasoning was that food varies from state to state in India and some of the recipes he makes (I think south Indian) are what his ex used to make. I did not know how to react as he has never told me about this before. I kinda got upset that he never told that to me before. I probed more and found out that 2 of the 6 dishes I like the most are what his ex used to cook for him. I would have never liked that food, if I knew it was based on the recipies that his ex taught him.

I am a overthinker and I started spiriling a bit. I asked him if I was a better cook than his ex, and he made a face (like he did not want to lie). I asked him if he misses his ex and if her recipes remind him of her. He said that he married me, and no he does not think about his ex. He says a good recipe is a good recipe, and I am reading too much into it. Plus, he said I enjoy the food he makes, and who cares where he learned how to make it.

However, I feel he lied by omission and should have been upfront with me. I really do not want him to cook food that she used to cook for him (I am sure was amazing). I cannot match that and makes me feel less than because I cannot cook. Do you think I am the AH in this situation to ask him to stop cooking those recipes, or do you think he needs to own up to the fact that cooking things that remind him of his ex is wrong. He is also not taking my feelings seriously and keeps on laughing at me whenever I bring up the conversation.
