Do I have to worry if i want support to give me chat restriction?

Im pretty toxic when im tired, and i know it lose my games, so I'd like to ask support to give my account chat restriction, the problem is, i know 1 guy got banned for it and do I have to worry or it was a single fail from riot's side?
