Is there a way to get rid of the search results box after searching?

We have sidebar flair searching shortcuts that essentially link to a search of the sub by flair, everything works fine but it would look a lot better if there was a way to get rid of the search box that takes up the top of the page after searching.

take a look at the sidebar we have at r/fullmovierequest

is this even possible?
