AITA for not replying to my friend on purpose?

One of my friends has gone super distant, with basically no explanation. I directly haven't confronted them or asked why they're so distant, but I have asked if they're okay multiple times which they usually respond by saying they are. I completely understand that people have their own lives and don't owe me a response, but at the same time I noticed this person active on social media, while they don't respond to me from anywhere between 24 - 48 hours.

The breaking point for me came these past few days, where I didn't get a reply for 2 days, they reinitiated the conversation, and once I replied I didn't get another reply for 24 hours. When I still replied and showed the same energy, I was met with no reply once again for 24 hours. (2 texts in a span of 4 days). At this point, I really didn't want to engage in a meaningless conversation that wasn't going anywhere, so even though I saw the message, I chose to ignore it. Just recently, I got a text from my friend saying "Are you ignoring my message?" which honestly did make me feel bad but at the same time I'm conflicted. Am I the asshole?
