What a great show

I just finished watching the entire series for the first time, and while I was sad it was ending, the last episode fit so well with the series as a whole. My personal favorite part was when Al looks up and then turns around and whispers, “I knew it,” to Earn when DeMarcus confirms that his sushi restaurant used to be a Blockbuster 😭 just too good. Also loved the focus on Darius in this episode and the cameo by Cree Summer.

My only complaint is I would’ve loved to see more episodes that focused on Darius; I think he ended up being my favorite character. I honestly really loved the scenes between him and Van when he has to pick her up from the airport in Europe. In another universe, I think they would’ve made a good pair. I also just loved season 3 in general/the anthology episodes and how they examine so many different aspects of blackness. I would’ve wanted another season just to get a few more of those episodes.

Can’t wait to see what I’ll discover on a rewatch after I’ve let this first experience settle for a bit 🖤
