Do you guys remember the painted apple moth spraying in the early 2000s?
As per the title, in the early 2000s the government had a program to eradicate the painted apple moths due to environmental harm they were causing. I was in primary school out west at the time. The school would announce on the speaker that the spraying was starting and all the kids had to run inside due to some kids having reactions to it. I recall one of my good friends needing to be send home because his face had puffed up and gone red. I also recall plenty of complaints about how low the plains would fly, used to freak people out. I'm going off memory here so I'm keen to hear what others remember from it. I can't help but think how the public reaction would be to such thing these days with all the heightened paranoia social media has introduced.
