39M I don't feel that old

Midwest, ISTJ, single, child-free, pretty severe introvert, nerd and weeb

Basically an indoor cat who prefers to touch grass as little as possible outside of work, which is a whole other side of me, and takes too much of my time already, best saved for later in the conversation

As a pretty hardcore introvert I have some pretty weird hobbies that most people in their 30's have abandoned or don't really understand, at least here in flyover country, and I haven't had the kind of friend that I can share my hobbies with in years

I love podcasts, and audio edu/entertainment in general, and I listen to an hour of something or other almost everyday (Usually true crime, history, or more recently audiobooks but honestly a huge variety)

Chronic insomnia has lead me to a profound love of ASMR and I'm constantly seeking out new channels and new content to help me get a good night's rest

I'm a massive Japanophile and until recent I would have said a big anime fan, but spending all my time at work the past 5+ years has really taken it's toll and I'm severely r/outoftheloop at this point, although I did dust off my Crunchyroll subscription recently for the first time in years, and buy my first two Nendoroids

I'm a little bit interested in a lot of other things too - books, film, music, Indian food, craft beer - but we can figure all that stuff out organically as we get to know each other
