Cartel aristocrat

So I was looking for the history on why aristocrats decks are named the way they are and found [[cartel aristocrat]] It’s really bugging me that there are 9 guilds, and they included dimir and not simic in the background triangle. As a ravnica more newb, is there a good reason for this or was it an oversight?
