new hairstylist help

i recently have been working at a chain salon as a new stylist for the past month or so, I am seeing some improvement and typically the clientele is men and i’m not too good at these cuts at all and the only reason why I’m working at a chain salon is to afford to pay my bills and get clientele. However they don’t do any chemical/color service and I really want to do that mainly but i’m scared I won’t make enough money but then again the salon i’m working at bearly schedules me hours anyways most likely because i’m new and slow. what should I do?
