Conversation I had with my youngest daughter. Where all the kids are wearing band t-shirts because it’s trendy.

“Uhh you know grunge was the opposite of preppy right?”

“That was back in your time, not the case anymore”

“Why would wear a shirt of a band you’ve never heard?”

“Because they are cute and preppy”

I give up. Preppy to me never looked like over sized t-shirts and baggy jeans.
