Have recent laws concerning embryos dissuaded you from IVF?

I live in a southern state and I'm going to try IUI later this year with my wife, but I've very hesitant to try IVF. In addition to the physical strain, I'm scared of having embryos that have overnight turned into legal people and cannot be destroyed (á la Alabama). How have y'all dealt with this? Has it kept you from IVF? Do you risk fewer embryos?
