Job offer during Skillbridge with host company

Army here. Where can I get a reference for an answer to this situation.

A Soldier is currently on an internship with the State as an ops manager. Soldier applied for an open position within the same agency, and got an offer. Soldier is retiring with 20 years, not taking terminal leave, only 20 days PTDY. Is the Soldier allowed to accept the job offer and start before the retirement date? Will the Soldier have to terminate the Skillbridge? Chain of command has no issues with accepting job offer. Just looking to see your insights. Thanks!
