Whats the highest capacity battery for my vamo v2?

Just curious. I have an efest IMR 2000mAh 18650 currently, but need to order some extra batteries for back up. Any help would be great. I might also want a 18350. Wheres a good place to get these.

I used RTD Vapors...quickly shipping and decent prices. I'd recommend.

Second RTD Vapor. Unsure of the highest mah rating possible on an IMR 18350 or 18650, but I'd recommend getting AW brand. They are great batteries.

Piggybacking on this with a very related question: Tell me all the reasons why I would not want to get this 3400 mAh battery instead of this 2000 mAh AW IMR. This would be for use in an SVD. For a mech I would obviously only use IMRs, but want to get max battery life out of my VV/VW.

I ordered 2 to use in my SVD (ordered from co-op). They're working fine in my Sigelei SMAX, but the igetcha69 review of the SVD says protected batteries won't work.

I'm assuming this is the case with my vamo as well?

Protected batteries may work, but they can't handle the load that you will be putting on them. They have integrated fail-safes that will prevent them from putting out the power you need. That's why people say to use unprotected IMR batteries. IMR chemistry is safer and any mod you are using these batteries in has the fail-safes in the mod itself.

These are the batteries I have: Panasonic CGR18650CH. They last ~2 days, depending on how much I vape (and I usually chain vape). Use coupon code TENOFF to get 5% off that, making the price $9.53 shipped for two batteries. Note: FastTech is a Chinese distributor; allow ~10 days for delivery.

I also have the Efest 18350s. They are very nice, but only last me about 2/3 of a day on a charge. They also make my Vamo nice and small; good for carrying around.

Be careful about buying higher mAh batteries from unknown companies, because I've heard that many of them aren't actually up to that capacity. For example, some unheard of brand may claim their 18650s are 4000mAh, when in reality, they probably will only last around the same amount of time as a 2400mAh battery.

Panasonics, Efests, and AWs are the three highest regarded batteries in terms of cost, performance, and cycle life.

Hope that helps!

You forgot MNKE, which are the best, but very expensive.

Thank you. I haven't heard of MNKEs before that I can remember.

I did a quick search and found them on Avid Vaper, but they're only 1500mAh.

Do you have these (or similar)? How do they compare to the CGR18650CH? Thanks!

They have a continuous 20(30?) Amp limit and 60 pulse amp limit. They are for super low-ohm coils in mechanical mods. If you're staying under 10 amps(Vamo has a 5 amp limit, eVic 2.5) the Panasonics or any battery you linked is just fine. Usually the higher the amp limit the lower the mAh, hence the 1500 mAh rating. That doesn't mean all low mAh batteries are high drain though, check the c rating for continuous amp draw. Pulse draw is like 1 second bursts and that's what you see in those videos where they're blowing clouds with short draws.

Interesting. Thanks for the info.

One last question. Flat or button top for the 18350?

I use button tops in my Vamo.

I only have flat tops. For a Vamo v2 with the new gold spring, it doesn't matter. Both flat tops and button tops will fit just fine.

Excellent thanks!

Most of those batteries aren't suited for high drain.
