Is it possible to get HS where there are zero hair follicles?

I've had boils and recurring cysts for the past 4 1/2 years. I have no food triggers. It happens before I start my period or during ovulation. So I'm 99.9% sure I have HS.

But I think I may also have something else? Because I get pea size cysts or very tiny cysts in areas that have ZERO hair follicles. Like my clitoral hood, labia minora, and the inner vag lips where there are no follicles. And my understanding is that HS is a hair follicle issue.

The only other thing I can think of is sabaceous adentitis. Because that's the only thing i can seem to find on the internet that causes pimple like bumps involving the vulva area around your period.

That's messed up if I have both of these conditions 😅 My HS is still pretty mild, but slowly it's getting worse. Especially the past year.

Do any other females here deal with cysts in areas with no follicles!?!
