r/coheed's Song of the Day #56: In The Flame Of Error (Super Special Concussion Edition)
So I missed yesterday; got in a car accident and got a concussion. But here I am, back and slightly better with In The Flame Of Error. This is my favorite off of YOTBR; at least I'm pretty sure it is. I love a lot about it. The lyrics are exciting, the verse guitar amps up and by the end of the second verse it's frantic and intense. The chorus is soooo good. I love the way it goes up and down, topped off by the up and down singing of 'darling'. The breakdown is heavy and fast. The end has a super cool guitar bit. This song is one of the few that benefits from the production. Love it. Unfortunately, this is probably one of the least accessible songs from their entire discography, up there with stuff like Hearshot Kid Disaster.
The Fiction- According to songmeanings: This song is leonard hohenberger working on the monstar virus while Ryan has Pearl locked away. He is about to give him the virus that could destroy man kind hence the "im a muderer, the worse the worlds have seen". "Cause they won't let her go and I remain so alone to work out a clever way to get home" is him thinking about how he can take this situation and flip it to his advantage. which in the end he does accomplish. Very little of the lyrics on this album are actually about coheed and cambria directly.
The Real- I dunno
The Part- DIE, my DaaaAAAaaaAARRRRliiiIIIING
