AITA For Calling My Friend Out on Her Actions?
I 22F have a 23F friend who I will be calling "Horn" for this post.
This past weekend Horn and I attended a con that I have been looking forward to for the whole year. I attend this convention every single year because I absolutely adore being there. This year, however, Horn quite literally made being at this con completely unbearable. It started off with the deposit for the hotel which was pushed onto me on the spot. I ended up paying for all parking fees as well. Almost every night I had to sleep on the couch in our room because Horn had some music blasting in the bedroom to help her fall asleep and chose to ignore it when I asked if she could turn it down. Made every single interaction I had with every cosplayer about herself or turned it into a competition like she was trying to one-up everyone. took pictures and videos without my knowledge or consent (I take con etiquette very seriously) and got extremely defensive when I asked her to ask next time. Overall, I was completely drained halfway through the con and couldn't even enjoy it as much as I wanted to because she sucked the enjoyable parts out. Today, I called her out on every single thing she did, all the disrespect and boundaries she crossed. But, Horn immediately started to sob and get defensive again. Saying how she always loses her friends and that I should just go ahead and block her. Trying to make me feel like I am being an asshole for saying anything to her about what she's done.
AITA?
