Options for a Gameboy Light screen replacement?
I recently inherited a GameBoy Light from my aunt which, despite the shell being a bit dirty and well loved, is in relatively good nick all things considered.
I'm convinced that with a few minor repairs it should still be fully functional, The two main technical issues I have are corroded battery contacts and, as can be seen from the image, pretty bad screen rot.
I've heard that a screen replacement can be done using parts from a GameBoy Pocket, but the GameBoy Light's screen has a reflective material behind it.
Does anyone repair savvy know if this substitution is true? And if yes, does replacing the screen with a GBP one remove the Light functionality from the GBL?
