Sony mirrorless camera

It seems like everybody is sporting Sony mirrorless camera nowadays, at least in my country. I saw the occasional Canon M and R and an even rarer Nikon Z. It's different from the DSLR era where Nikon reign supreme. Even if I go to 3rd party lenses and accessories, I found more lenses and accessories for Sony cameras than any other brand. Is this the phenomenon unique to my country or is this what happen all over the world?
