Childcare Extra help - drop offs or pickups

We have two kids currently in daycare 4 days a week. Right now I drop the kids off and my partner picks them up. My partner is in the works of leaving his current employer and going somewhere else which long term will be great for our family but short term means more hours. This means he won’t be able to pick the kids up and with my commute I am unable to fit 8 hours of work between drop off and pick ups.

So we want to look into hiring extra help. We’d either need someone to come in the mornings at like 7 and get the kids up and ready for school, feed them breakfast, and then drop them off at daycare. Or someone to pick them up at daycare, bring them home, get them a snack and watch them till I get home.

We would need this either 3 or 4 days. So either 7am-83am or 430pm-6pm.

Does anyone do anything similar to this? Is it possible to just hire someone for 4.5 to 6 hours a week?
