Use for the Video Out port on the Canon 30D?

I got a second hand 30D for about $20 a month ago, and while it’s been fantastic, there is something that’s been bothering me. There is a Video output port on the camera, and there are different settings for video (PAL/NTSC), but the camera is incapable of recording, so what will be a used for those ports?
