Apologizing
Apologizing for me is a delicate thing.
I apologize when I feel the person I'm apologizing to both deserves an apology and won't be hurt by contact with me.
I also worry about apologizing in a way that is solely to sooth my guilt.
It's not that guilt is helpful to me or anyone I've hurt while manic. It's that offering an apology to illicit sympathy is an act of selfishness against a person I've harmed.
But it keeps me up at night... worrying about whether or not I should or shouldn't apologize to a person I've done wrong by.
As time goes on, the window of oppertunity for reconciliation closes.
I just have to hope that I've made the right choices about what to do about my wrong choices.
