First gen Tundra antenna broke off - would an easy out be the best solution here?

As the title says, my 2003 Tundra radio antenna broke off. I suspect it was the car wash that did it. In any case, I can't get any stations on my radio.

Can anyone confirm if the antenna screws into the mount? And, if so, would using an easy out and replacing with an aftermarket shorty antenna be the best solution? Please see pic here: https://imgur.com/a/zQHQjBL
