Looking for guidance. Career
5 years ago I was convicted of a misdemeanor for disorderly conduct. Don’t really want to get into it but I will say is that I was in the wrong. (I was 20)
Furthermore, it made it to news & social media. And if you’ve been in that spot, you must understand the amount of shame I felt.
I lost everything. Job, friends, and a good image.
Despite that, I forced myself to ignore my feelings got a job in a trade. (I saw people recommending that in this sub). And I also enrolled in school. Would like to mention that my job reimbursed me for my school. (Over 10k$)
And 2 weeks ago, I graduated with an associates in engineering. ( didn’t think I could do it. )
I would like to continue studying further and achieve a Bachelor’s degree. So I applied to a university to see if I’d be accepted. And just today I was notified that I got in.
My question:
Is it even worth pursuing a higher education despite having a record and media attention?
