Which would you choose?

I'm in the market for a 650. There's a 14 two hours away at a dealership, and a 17 five hours away from an individual. Both have 10k miles, and both are asking $4900. The 14 is at a Honda dealership and has been sitting for a while, so I feel like I can possibly get it cheaper. The owner of the 17 states that it has an abs fault that won't allow the abs to function. He seems pretty mechanically inclined, but doesn't know what's wrong with it. Thoughts and opinions are welcomed.
