Mouse and Keyboard not working on PC login screen after using Kaspersky antivirus

Hey guys!

I am currently having a hard time using my pc. I let my mom use it and she must have clicked a link because I got a virus.

After using Kaspersky to clean my pc, it asked me to reset it. After doing so, I couldn’t use my mouse and keyboard. I tried my bios and my mouse and keyboard works fine there.

I’ve been looking online for answers and I found that entering windows recovery environment could be helpful. Problem is, my pc wont let me do so and I don’t know why.

I tried multiple methods:

•Turning it on and off twice and waiting to see the screen on the third time (holding the power button down for 10 seconds)

•Trying the MSI f3 recovery system but it doesnt work (although f11 to launch bios works)

• Trying every possible combination of buttons I see online (F9, F12, F1)

I am no computer expert by any means and I don’t really know much about PCs. I just use mine to edit for work so any help or advice is appreciated!
