Mac Exfat HDD showing some files as Zero Byte

I have a Seagate 18TB hard drive ExFat and it was disconnected improperly and it became read only and then I noticed that some files have become zero byte files. It was only the mp4 files that were affected not the raw image files. Luckily not all of the drive became zero bytes.

I tried running a deep scan using EaseUS data recovery but it’s still showing the files as zero bytes. I tried connecting to windows and it’s the same issue.

My next step would be to consult with a professional data recovery company and hopefully they can recover some of the data.

Has anyone ever had to deal with this.

After doing research looks like ExFat is not much compatible with Mac, so in the future I won’t be using that, I’m new to Mac and have been a windows user all my life. Any help would be appreciated.
