Musicians wanted to play old rock/pop/RnB

Meetup

I am looking for musicians to get together and play rock, pop, and RnB from the 50s and 60s. Think Motown, Stax, girl groups, early Beatles, Sam Cooke.

This will be for the enjoyment of playing - I have little interest in public performance or trying to make money. Your skill level should be above absolute beginner, but doesn't need to be at a professional level.

I’d like to have enough of a steady membership and repertoire that we can rehearse and actually improve, but it can be loose. Like we can sing your song when you show up. But I do want to assign parts, and work out arrangements and background vocals and all of that.

We need guitar/bass/drums, plus piano/keyboards and maybe horn players. If you can sing, great, if you can sing harmony even better. If you're willing and able to transcribe/arrange parts that'll be useful.

This will be in West AVL near the outlet mall. I'm thinking Sunday afternoons.
