Opinion: Despite its shortcomings, Canada is not an economic basket case

While not strictly personal finance related, there's a lot of talk about the productivity of Canadian workers and how very far behind the US we seem to be. The above two links I think offer an interesting other take on this:

• Our economy is largely oil, which has been a capital suck for no increased output.
• In other sectors outside of Oil, we actually invest and produce on par with our US counterparts, but numbers in aggregate cannot out produce the drag from Oil.
