In search of recommendations for outside of the box romantasy

Anyone have any recs for books outside of the stereotype of "I'm so young and small and not meant for a life of dragons/battle/magic but because of fate/my tragic backstory I must rise and ____ to save my family/kingdom. Also there is a mysterious man with wings/magic/a secret who I will end up liking"?

I enjoyed ACOTAR (as a whole story, had some minor issues), One Dark Window and Caraval. I do not mind spice so long as it isn't the main focus. I'm obviously not against YA (Caraval). Fourth Wing was not my jam. I would like some interesting magic system, or maybe some lore/god related fantasy and a not super complicated romance (so many misunderstandings, 'omg I have to have you cause I love you', etc - no thanks).
