Biomes O Plenty

Earlier, I had removed the Biomes O Plenty mod and other mods from my game so I could explore caves without lagging too bad. When leaving, I had saved without thinking and when I put everything back in and loaded up my game, the biome I lived in had disappeared. I live in the fir biome and it was blank when I joined back. So my question is: is it possible to recover the save file before I mucked everything up or can I create the biome on a large scale without having to plant every single tree?
