Shooting Pain - Healing Wound

40M On April 29th I had a nasty cut to my heel. Yesterday I was finally able to wear shoes for a short walk (about 5 minutes). However, last night as I tried to sleep I starting have shooting pain every few minutes that kept me from being able to sleep for hours. It was almost electrical in nature, causing my whole leg to jerk away each time.
Should I be concerned? What on shoes longer? Or expect to have this sensation more as the nerves get acclimated to contact again?
