1990s fantasy retelling adventures of Prince Charming

A ribald fantasy of the adventures of Prince Charming and his Squire Wendel. Charming a true breast man. Handsome and rich of corse. Princess and their fairy godmother willing to do anything and everything to get him. Poor Wendel just doesn't get it. I can remember most everything but the title and author and publisher. It went out of print in the nineties. It's been driving me crazy for years. Please can anyone help!!!
