WIBTA If I rang my neighbors door at 11 PM to ask them to take their cat inside?

Not to sure if my post belongs here, if not oh whale.

Anyway, I am 22. Male, etc, etc, I live in an apartment complex and a few doors down my neighbors car won’t stfu.

Now it’s a cat, I went and talked to this cat, he seems very nice, but he’s also very loud. He actually howled. I thought he had jumped up somewhere and was screaming because a raccoon or coyote was trying to get him.

I went to investigate and that’s when I found this very cute cat sitting on top of my neighbors wall. They live on the second floor, and it’s their balcony. This is all Important. Also I asked the cat if I should ring the doorbell, he didn’t really seem to understand.

Now here’s the thing, I walked away from the building to see if their door was cracked for the cat. IT WAS! What??? Why is this cat screaming? It’s been a half hour, he literally just stopped.

Anyway I walked back to the cat and very kindly asked him to go inside or be quiet. I told him how loud he was being too. Again he didn’t seem to understand :/

So WITBA if I went and rang their doorbell next time their cat is crying for 15 minutes straight?

TL;DR? Cat was very loud. Thought cat might be up a tree hiding from a raccoon about to die, dude was screaming for his life. Investigate, talk to cat, find out cat can go inside. Can I ask the neighbors to take him in please?
