Is Hostel (the original) by Eli Roth still considered great amongst horror fans or no?

I absolutely love this movie. The set up the characters the atmosphere. Everything. The plot , premise. So real and can actually happen. The eye puss scene. Ooof. I know the sequels are not as good but the OG is so good
