Deviation from the books

Forgive me for any mistakes, first post and using mobile, which I've heard sucks.

I just finished pt. 2 of season 3 and honestly I'm disappointed.

!The whole point of Francesca's book is her desire to have a family. I understand trying to show families are what you make and not confined to straight white sociatal norms, but Francesca's book was such a heart wrenching and well thought out story line, it disappoints me in the Michael/a reveal. Any one of the Bridgerton siblings could have been made LGBTQ+. As a bi gal myself, I've loved seeing Benedict this season, we know through him it's possible. So why do we pick the ONE storyline that is actually contingent on cis-straight sex to completely change?!<

I'm open for discourse on it. I'm curious to see how Shonda will change the storylines as she has already with several other things.
