Hi, back after 25 years, any tips for new players?

Hi, I had a dream about diablo 2 so bought it again after 25 years, I left back when soj was the currency and the amazon with the windsomething bow was the best build, I remember finding that bow and getting over 100 soj for it lol :)

anyway, what should i play now? single player pd2 or multiplayer, I ran a single player game with the plugy on vanilla d2 and i liked the shared stash and skill remaping since its easier to rush normal that way but I understand no shared stash on pd2 multiplayer.

also i didn't see many players on europe servers, what does most people play? also i would love for some basic tips for a new player on pd2
