Lynch. Kids or not? IVF? Removal of fertility. Getting older and older…
Are you also confused about having kids? I tested positive for lynch 2018. Then years passed by with some heavy grief and loss from parents. Now I am 36 and I feel like I have lost many chances of finding ”love of my life” to start a family with. Now, I live in Sweden, and we can get quite good help via ivf and picking out eggs that do not show signs of lynch. They say they want to remove all organs asap that are related to fertility because of higher risk of cancer, - so they also recommend me to ”get kids like… now… so we can remove the risk of you getting cancer” I feel so nuch pressure being 36, having to make this choice. (Grateful I CAN, but it’s not something most people have to think about and thats why i am in need of venting about this. I feel lonely in this. I do not have friends who can relate at all. My mom almost died of cancer. My dad died some years ago. I feel really confused.
To que for this IVF - i have to wait 2 years. Then, if I have a partner, he should run some tests. Then IVF can start. And that will also take a while. I have a looot of eggs, said my doctor and I can get help with ivf until I am 40. So I have less than 4 years to find a dude, basically, before this chance is to late. But I could of course chose ivf with an anonymous sperm donator. This is not why I want to have kids. Not for the sake of it. I want to start a family.
How do you feel regarding kids, lynch, ivf, future? Are you like me? Please tell me yiur thoughts on all this. I feel very alone about this
