Crank Position Sensor

Hey everyone,

Just looking for some advice. In the process of refreshing my intake in my 330ci and replacing the crank sensor as it’s been throwing codes.

Unfortunately the little 5mm bolt that holds the sensor in was rusted and I accidentally threaded it.

Planning on trying to tap it to a 5.5mm or something tomorrow, but just wondering if anyone else has any recommendations as if this doesn’t work I’m worried I’ll be needing to drop the motor or box etc.
