They saved us

Discussion

Not in years have such beautiful arpeggios been mixed with the incredible fry screams of Vessel to create the onslaught that we all know and love as Take Me Back To Eden. They perfectly captured the essence of true 2000's metalcore in a modern setting, bringing all of us back to the golden age of metalcore, where bands like Taylor Swift and *Nsync were headlining the craziest festivals since Woodstock '99.

Posers may try to tell you that they are a progress rock band. They may compare them to groups such as--God forbid--Imagine Dragons. They may even say that they're not true metal. This is all heresey with our communities, and these false prophets must be cast out of our guarded doors immediately. Elitists such as these must not be welcome here, or our perfectly curated collection of the greatest metalcore this universe has seen shall be spoiled.

Sleep Token are truly the spearheads of the metalcore revival. Songs such as Rain, which encapsulates the vivid image of a raindrop falling from a cloud onto the brim of a fedora, or DYWTYLM, the heaviest song on the record, are works of art that would do well to hang on the wall of a museum. The pop metal group Knocked Loose would do well to collaborate with them, otherwise they may be lost in the dissonance of Aqua Regia, with the infamous line "Sleep Token, motherf*cker" creating mosh pits that would rival any OneDirection pit in the history of the iconic K-Pop's careers.

Some may disagree. Some may persecute me for speaking the truth. What I will leave you with is this: Never again will the true power of the line "I dangle in like cold cuts" strike emotion in the hearts of our youth like they did on the fabled day when Take Me Back To Eden released. Never again will the true baddest of the baddies be able to say that Rain forced the air from their lungs and the sweat from their brows.

Take heart, metalcore family. Sleep Token will save us all.
