Uhhh I need advice with being less socially awkward in college

Soooo i'm starting college in August and i'm nervous asf. Im socially awkward and have a hard time socializing. What are some tips that y'all have for me to branch out because i really don't want to just be stuck going to my bfs house on weekends and inside the dorm during the week. I wanna make friends and do other shi, especially since it's my first year out the house frl.
