Forced lunch break/clocked out without knowledge
I work in Georgia doing security installations for a major nation company and a corporate employee. I have been in this industry for years and managed in it for a long time. Recently my boss has been either telling people they had to clock out in between jobs(or forcing a lunch break) if people call in to the office to say their customer was running behind. Which I get if you call in he may tell you, although I don’t think you can force someone to clock out for lunch if they don’t actually get to take it.
However, recently through looking at our time cards myself and some fellow employees have seen ourselves clocked out mid day without being told that we were being clocked out. This is done between jobs, but quite often we are driving to the next job or doing other work related business.
Am I way off based thinking this is a big deal?
