Nexus letter after VA C&P

I have a up coming C&P exam on Monday for MH. I have an opportunity to have a psychologist do a Nexus letter for me but it won’t be until a few days later.

Is it worth getting the nexus letter after the fact? Does the third party C&P examiner do his own Nexus when doing the C&P or just the C&P?
