Patch Notes 0.52

Hello Dragon Riders!

Due to the significant changes in Patch 0.52, the updates will be released in two parts to ensure a smooth implementation.

This part focuses on improving the quality of life in Gemstone Legends, specifically in Network Connection and Guild Wars. The second part, which will be released separately after Patch 0.52 is fully implemented, will be described at the end of these Patch Notes. Let's dive into the details!

The long-awaited changes bring new possibilities. Network Connection issues have been the most frequently reported bugs, with players experiencing freezes or endless spinners. This update aims to eliminate those problems.

Although this is a major change for the app, it should be unnoticeable for most players while significantly improving the experience for those affected by these issues.

One of the areas most impacted by freezes and endless spinners is Guild Wars. Therefore, we have decided to refresh this mode along with the Network Connection improvements.

With Patch 0.52, the first Guild Wars season will end, the Guild Wars Ranking will be reset, and all Guilds will have a new opportunity to become Guild Wars Champions!

Most of the changes below are based on your past suggestions and aim to improve clarity and navigation in Guild Wars. Additionally, new traps and machines will be introduced!

Guild Wars Registration, Roles, and Hidden Matchmaking changes:

Signing your Guild up for Guild Wars will be permanent unless you decide to withdraw from participation.

Clicking the Register button will sign your guild up for every upcoming Guild War, eliminating the need to remember to sign up again after the current war is finished.

Additionally, Guild Wars opponents will be revealed after the preparation phase has ended, allowing you to see who your guild's opponent is and adjust your tactics during the planning phase.

Captains, Marshals, and Hetmans will be able to set and remove target indicators during Guild Wars.

Checking available Heroes on the Guild Wars Map:

We’ve added the option to see which heroes are still available to battle without needing to enter the team selection menu.

Check Available Heroes Button

Members Tab changes:

Another improvement can be found in the Members tab. An online indicator has been added, allowing you to easily check which members with available attacks are currently in the game during crucial moments.

Online Indicator

Just below the online indicator, we’ve added a chest icon that shows how many points each member has earned towards the Individual Guild War Chest during this war. Pressing the icon will display details, allowing leaders to easily check who may still be missing defense points or points for Guild Wars donations.

Battles Results:

On the battle summary screen, scoring information has been added. You’ll know immediately how many points you’ve earned for your team and how many points your opponent earned for that particular battle.

Battle Scores

In the Guild Wars chat, we’ve increased the size of the location number emblem to make it easier to recognize where the attack took place:

Defensive Team Status:

The trap icons will be visible to defending players even after the grace period ends. This will make it easier to track which teams are supported by traps and which are not. Don’t worry; enemies won’t be able to see them outside of battle.

Trap Icon

During an encounter, the trap icon will be replaced with the attacking player's avatar. The icon indicating an attack will now be color-coded to help distinguish between reservation and attack:

Reservation

Green indicates that the team is reserved but the battle hasn’t started yet; the player is selecting the team and machines. At this time, the player may still resign from attacking.

Attacking

Red indicates that the player is in the battle and attacking.

Traps and Machines changes:

The Traps and Machines have been refreshed, and new ones have been added. The most significant changes in the current traps concern Caltrop, Battering Ram, and Pitfall. The full list of changes and new machines and traps can be found below:

To use the additional traps and machines Guilds will need to unlock them using Guild Coins.

Additional changes and bug fixes:

  • Clicking on the heroes Icon in the in-game message featuring new heroes brought players to an empty Lexicon.

  • Guild Wars Chat- wrong order of displayed messages.

  • Guild Wars Scoring with treasury maintained was corrected.

  • Location numbers in Guild Wars are now displayed also after the Grace period ends.

  • Arena Chests' progress was displayed incorrectly.

  • Arena backgrounds were not getting changed correctly.

  • The screen was going dark gray in the Daily Guild Reward view screen.

  • Protective Shield status is now getting replaced when the Shield Power is equal to the current shield

The second part of Patch 0.52:

Hero Balance Changes:

The changes will address a few aspects of the game:

  1. Rangers - the entire class of Ranger Heroes will receive a unique buff tailored to their class.
  2. Heroes generating mana and heroes dealing damage at the start of the wave - the passive abilities of those Heroes will receive additional restrictions.
  3. Buffs for the Heroes that are underperforming.
  4. Nerfs for the Heroes that are too powerful compared to others.

The full list of heroes with the implemented changes will be released before they go into effect.

Arena Shop Relics Replacement:

Current Legendary Relics will be removed from the Arena Shop and replaced with other Legendary Relics in the order they appear in the game. Three Relics will be replaced at a time every three months.

The Legacy Relics that will be removed from the Arena Shop will be available as one-time rewards in the new type of events - so anyone who missed them or didn’t have a chance to obtain them will have an opportunity to get those Relics.

New Market Tab:

A new tab will be added to the Market.

The tab will contain:

  • High-quality artifacts, purchasable with a new type of Event Currency (Obtainable in new Events).
  • A slot to exchange Arena Medals for High-Quality Artifacts for players who completed the Cabinet.
  • Speed Tickets.

Additional changes and bug fixes:

  • iOS keyboard bug fix.
  • The price of opening Dust Rifts will be lowered.
  • Adding graphics and materials in preparation for the new game mode: Portal World, which is planned to be fully available in the near future.

NOTE: Please, keep in mind that some of the features will be visible immediately and some will be unlocked after most players download the update.
