Addendum

Should I write an addendum? I had a parent pass away during my freshman year winter break. I still went back to school but rather than my GPA going down, it shot up and has continued to stay high. I’m considering including my story (not entirely about death) in my personal statement. Is it too redundant to write an addendum? Or should I include it regardless? How to approach…
