Random aggression

My 5 y/o male kitty occasionally attacks me unprovoked and I don’t understand why. I know that petting aggression is a thing and I’ve learned how to read his body language but tonight he attacked me and I seemingly did nothing to upset him. He followed me onto my bed and came up by me, rubbed his head on my hand, then he dug his teeth into my arm and followed me around trying to bite me! It seemed like he was guarding me from trying to run away from him which was just weird behavior. He’s also not a very vocal cat but he kept on meowing at me and I just don’t understand what I did to upset him. Is this just a weird behavior of his or could something be wrong? He’s a tuxedo cat and I hear that they are pretty crazy as it is lol. Im just curious if anyone has experienced something like this.
