Removing Backgrounds (and other qualms)

Maybe I’m not into FCP as much as you all, but are there any good methods of removing backgrounds easily? Even simple free phone apps are able to remove backgrounds (not perfectly, but they’re serviceable) while I haven’t found an easy way to that with FCP without meticulously drawing masks.

They’ve recently added the tracking tool (which was long overdue in my opinion) and it works fine, but Instagram had that functionality for at least 5 years before FCP added it in.

I’m loyal to FCP. I can’t imagine using something else considering I’ve been using it for more than a decade at this point and cannot morally agree with paying for subscription services since editing videos is of hobby for me. But why is this program always so behind the curve?
