I am attached to a guy I'm infatuated with and it hurts that he's seeing to date other women just because I said I'm not yet comfortable to be flirty that fast.

For context, I (F) started getting attached to the guy I was talking to. He said he wasn't sure where we would be in the end. We were intimate at first, but we mutually decided to stop all sorts of flirting with each other because I was starting to get attached to the guy even though we were still getting to know each other. A little later, he asked if I was open to being intimate later on. Ofc, I said yes, and added: that the main reason why I also wanted to halt it was because I wanted us to fully be comfortable with each other by getting to know each other a lot first. I realized I'm not the kind of person who'd give out my romantic side unless I'm fully aware the person I like shares the same feelings with me and has known me for some time.

Anyway, we both agreed to stay friends, but I also told him to inform me if he had started seeing somebody (who he's become intimate with). I personally won't like to continue being friends with a guy I previously was intimate with who's currently dealing with another person (whether it be a person who he's in a talking stage with, or just someone new he's fooling around with). He assured me that he'd let me know.

And, gonna come clean, even though we still barely know each other (2 months), I think I did start to develop feelings for him. I thought to myself, "This is too soon." That's also why I said to stop the flirting when we were starting.

Fast forward, I discovered he was on a dating app. After knowing this, I was disappointed with my expectations of the guy. Again, I confess, that I still have lingering feelings for him, it had been a month since we decided just to be friends. I mean, he's free to date and all, and that's not within my control to inquire about his dating life, even if I get disappointed.

A few days later, again, he posted an IG story. The context of the story was: a screenshot of a convo between him and, I assume, a new person he's talking to, they're both getting to know each other via chat.

Now and then, he starts giving me the ick, but at the end of the day, I would've wanted for us to continue talking and maybe develop something later on, but there we go, we both want different things.

I'm badly trying to convince myself that he has these X and Y red flags that I don't like about him. Also, reflect on what red flag qualities I have. Just to justify why I shouldn't be infatuated with him any longer. Also, to wear off the delulu in me and realize we're not compatible. It did come to the point when we were in the getting-to-know stage; he'd introduced me to his friends, and each time we hung out, I always came home drained. Not because he's a bad person or they're bad people, but I just feel like my gut told me "Nah, I can't see a future with this guy," even though half of me thinks he's a good person for me.

What the heck should I do now?
