Me and my girlfriend want to try some bondage, first time

Hi, seeking advice. So me and my girlfriend have been in a loving relationship for about 5nyears now and she suggested that we get some bondage gear and explore that abit more. I've been interested in getting into it for a while now so I was pleased she suggested.

Only problem is. We're both quite new to all this. Going away for a dirty weekend this weekend and got some bindage supplies. Thigh restraints bed restraints. But plugs. Whips etc. Is there any advice on how to start. What would be good introductory bondage play? Very excited. Thanks for your help :)
